Rajapatni.com takes a position on the cultural path, especially Javanese script, in an effort to re-introduce the local ꦭꦺꦴꦏꦭ꧀ compendium of Javanese script to today’s society.
“With the spread of modern European education and the exclusive use of Latin script, the community’s relationship with the local knowledge compendium is increasingly strained,” said Hilmar Farid at the founding of the Puri Aksara Rajapatni community on 22 December 2023.
In an effort to restore the local compendium, ꦥꦸꦫꦶꦄꦏ꧀ꦱꦫꦫꦴꦗꦥꦠ꧀ꦤꦷ strengthened its work structure and organs by launching the news portal rajapatni.com. Apart from being a forum for sharing information about Javanese script activities, rajapatni.com is also a means of documentation: collecting and storing data about Javanese script activities, especially in recording Javanese script activities in Surabaya and being part of the national campaign to preserve the Indonesian script together. the same as Nusantara Aksara activists in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).
The presence of rajapatni.com coincides with the commemoration of ꦲꦫꦶꦧꦲꦱꦆꦧꦸ International Mother Language Day which falls on February 21 2024. This commemoration aims to increase awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote unity, diversity and international understanding through ꦩꦸꦭ꧀ꦠꦶꦧꦲꦱ multilingualism and multiculturalism.
