Looking at the Old Civilization of India from the Golconda Fort.

Rajapatni.com: Surabaya (10/11/24) – Still around the Old City of Hyderabad, Tengelana, India. To the west of this city, there is a group of old buildings, which are in the form of a defensive fort. It’s name is Golconda.

From Hyderabad City to get to this place you have to take a vehicle because it can take around 30 minutes. For newcomers and visitors to the old city of Hyderabad, this historic place of Golconda Fort should not be missing from the visit list. The course participants through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program at the English Foreign Language University in this city are no exception.

“Majestic!”, only one word, but holding a million meanings is the impression of the Indonesian participant, Ita Surojoyo.

Meanwhile, other visitors’ experiences as quoted from https://www.tripadvisor.co.id/ said that when you are in this fort, you don’t feel like you are in India, but rather like you are in Europe because of the unique architecture.

Another impression is that the historic Golconda fort is very spacious, very beautiful and quite well maintained. Every beautiful and interesting corner is worth photographing.

In particular, from Ita Surojoyo’s observations, as seen in the background photo, the structure of Golconda Fort is like a terrace covering the hilly land.

Yes, the structure of this fort at first glance looks like heritage ruins and monuments. Golconda Fort was built in the 12th century. The location is strategic, above the hills.

“Yes, in the 12th century they built a fortress on the hill. That’s amazing. From the top you can see the whole of Hyderabad. I imagined that the king at that time was planning his strategy from the top room by looking at the situation from a place that ordinary people couldn’t reach,” explained Ita, looking far back when she was in the Fort, looking down at the expanse of Hyderabad City.

At dusk like this, there are natural light attractions, like watching a film or there is a kind of slide that we can see from the fort wall,” added Ita, who enjoyed the beauty of Golconda Fort in the afternoon as the last place in exploring the history of the city of Hyderabad.

Golconda Fort is not only a giant wall structure that snakes for 10 kilometers over a hilly structure, but within the wall area there is also a palace.

This palace was built quite magnificently, starting with a fortress built in 1143 (12th century). At that time the area was ruled by the Kakatiya dynasty.

Now, Golconda Fort is a historical tourist spot that is visited by many tourists. The fort’s defense gate rises high in a semi-circular shape as if welcoming the arrival of tourists, including groups of ITEC participants. (PAR/nng)
